We are excited to announce that the Town of Atlanta has been awarded a $700,000.00 grant through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA), to make improvements to our water distribution system as well as town wells and treatment facilities. In addition to improving the water system it will also increase fire protection, bring better water quality and increased water pressure. This combined with funding from the Indiana State Revolving Fund will allow the Town of Atlanta to complete a 1.3 million dollar project for very little out of pocket expenses. Our grant administrator, rate consultant and engineers have likened this to the Town winning the lottery! We would like to thank everyone who worked on this project to make it possible. A special thanks to Amy Miller, our grant administrator.
