The Plan Commission for the Town of Atlanta is looking for 3 new members to be appointed, that fit these certain criteria:
- 2 Members, registered Democrat or Independent (to fulfill bipartisan requirements), Outside of Town Limits, Inside the Building District
- 1 Member, registered Republican or Independent (to fulfill bipartisan requirements), Inside Town Limits
The Atlanta Plan Commission meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 5:30pm, as needed. This is a volunteer position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Attend and participate in commission meetings.
Advise local government on land use, zoning, and development policies.
Review development proposals and hold public hearings to balance development interests with community goals.
Conduct other business; specifically assigned to the Board of Zoning Appeals by ordinance, City Council order or State statute.
